Continuing Education Course: The Universe Story
This is an online course offered at the Heritage Insitute and taught by Ann Amberg. Course: The UNIVERSE STORY How can the emerging story of the universe offer meaning to our role as planetary citizens? Orienting ourselves in a whole-planet context engenders a sense of wonder, belonging, and interconnectedness. New scientific evidence tells of life's emergence in all its beauty to help ground us in recognition of our magnificent 13.7 billion year heritage. Help your K-12 students think beyond the box of “consumer cosmology” and empower them with a new perspective for conscious life choices. Utilizing multimedia resources and experiential activities, you will explore the birth of galaxies, biodiversity, Earth's evolution, photosynthesis, Gaia theory and human ecology.
