Just wanted to post the link to Thomas Berry’s obituary [URL=" NYT Obituary"]http://bit.ly/2Ghha[/URL] for non-Facebook users.

Re-reading through portions of “Evening Thoughts” today I was reminded of his passion for the Epic of Evolution, a passion that is still communicating in his works. I will be thinking of him when I look at the stars tonight.

    Without counting I think I say that Thomas Berry is the most quoted author in TGFE. I didn’t know much about him before TGFE and my impression is that he’s very consistent to his purpose, insightful, and there is something reassuring in his calmness.

    A former student of Thomas Berry’s told me a neat story about him. The student had just finished his Ph.D. when Berry told him, “Get a copy of the Encylcopedia Britannica and find the story there.” That may be the man in a nutshell.
